A number of West Ham United fans took to social media on Saturday afternoon to slam the performance of Pablo Zabaleta in Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United.

Zabaleta, who will see his deal with the Hammers expire at the end of the season, has struggled for regular action in the early stages of the 2019/20 campaign.

In fact, ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Blades, the Argentine had played just 37 minutes of Premier League football this season.

The experienced defender was handed his first league start of the campaign against Chris Wilder’s side, though, as Manuel Pellegrini shuffled his pack.

West Ham were ultimately made to settle for a point on the afternoon as Lys Mousset cancelled out a first-half strike from Robert Snodgrass.

And the club’s fans were furious with the performance of Zabaleta – many suggesting that the South American is no longer good enough to play for the club.
