So after only getting a deal for Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli over the line this summer, it appears things might be picking up for Arsenal in the transfer window.

Reports in recent weeks had suggested that Unai Emery’s side were keen on bringing in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos to the Emirates this summer, and now the club have confirmed that they have got their man.

As announced on the club’s official website, Ceballos has joined the Gunners on a season-long loan deal and will wear the number eight shirt, which was recently vacated by Aaron Ramsey’s departure to Juventus.

After hearing that the club had finally brought in their second signing of the summer window, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and there was an understandable excitement about it all.

Many supporters of the north London side hailed the Gunners’ new signing and insisted that he is the “perfect replacement for Ramsey” and that he could finally be the heir to fellow Spaniard Santi Cazorla’s throne.

Some fans even brought up the fact that the 22 year-old had seemingly turned down a move to Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham and insisted that Mauricio Pochettino’s side were still forever in their shadows.
